Big Fish Project is an award-winning care farm project, based in Abberley Farm, Alvescot.
Big Fish offers a calm, low-pressure environment where young people are supported to regulate, build trust and re-engage at a pace that feels safe and achievable. Our therapeutic approach focuses on emotional regulation, confidence, routine and practical life skills, delivered through small group or 1:1 placements with experienced staff.
We are not a school and do not deliver formal qualifications. Instead, we provide a therapeutic setting that enables young people to re-engage with learning and development. Schools and families often map educational outcomes onto the practical experiences we provide.
We are open weekdays during term time (9am–3pm) and offer flexible placement options from half-day to full-day provision. Bespoke packages are available depending on need.
Proud winners of Start-Up of the Year at the Enterprise Oxfordshire Awards 2025, we are committed to providing safe, meaningful placements that support long-term positive outcomes.
