Safeguarding

Safeguarding is central to all work at Big Fish Project.

We are committed to providing a safe, calm and well-supervised environment for every young person placed with us. Our team operates within clear safeguarding procedures, risk assessments and incident reporting structures designed to protect both attendees and staff.

We maintain a designated safeguarding lead structure and follow best practice guidance when responding to concerns. All staff hold appropriate DBS checks, receive safeguarding training and work within strict professional boundaries and supervision.

Our environment is intentionally structured to prioritise emotional safety and regulation. Maintaining a predictable, calm setting is a safeguarding priority for all placements.

Big Fish Project holds appropriate public liability and professional insurance for all placements and activities.

Due to the sensitive nature of safeguarding documentation, full policies, risk assessments and insurance documents are provided directly to referring schools and professionals upon request.
