  • Big Fish Project provides specialist farm-based alternative provision for children and young people who struggle to access mainstream education.

We support neurodivergent learners and those with SEMH needs through structured, low-demand placements focused on emotional regulation, confidence and engagement. Our environment is calm, predictable and designed to reduce overwhelm while maintaining clear boundaries and supervision.

Placements are delivered in small groups or 1:1, depending on need. We are not a school and do not deliver formal qualifications; instead, we provide a therapeutic setting that enables young people to rebuild trust, regulation and readiness to learn.

Sessions focus on confidence, routine, emotional regulation and real-world skills through hands-on activities. Placements are tailored to individual needs and delivered in a calm, supportive environment.

Home educated placements are suitable for young people who find traditional classroom settings overwhelming but thrive in experiential learning environments.
